Cooling Off Day

The campaigning period is officially over and Singaporeans are supposed to be spending the next 24 hours thinking about all the various issues that have been raised.  The Polling Stations will be open on Saturday morning, and then…

Who knows?  In one of the most insightful commentaries I’ve come across so far, P N Balji, director of the Asia Journalism Fellowship, writes that ‘one unmistakable message is shaping [the] General Election 2011’.

‘The Singaporean voter wants to engage and he wants to do so actively and energetically,’ he writes, and, for what it’s worth, it seems to me he could well be right.  Find P J Balji’s commentary here.
